DOGS! I love cleaning carpets. Especially when we have a nice beige colour like this. Any property that has dogs, such as this one, or any other animals including children, there is going to be a lot more dirt then say an elderly couple who wear slippers in the house, it’s part of life. That’s why it is important even more so for people who fall into this category to get your carpets cleaned regularly. This can be once a year or more depending on level of traffic. Don’t just type in carpet cleaning near me in google. Try find a reputable service. A good start is looking on the NCCA website for trusted local cleaners. Here you will find professional carpet cleaning service provides who have under gone training and know what chemicals to use with what fibre and the appropriate cleaning methods. Look for the NCCA logo on there website and you know your in safe hands.

This was less interesting and rather more back braking carpet clean! Quite a lot of carpet cleaning to be done. The carpets was in tiles so we could not use to high vacuum and there was also a concrete floor underneath so we were wary of ventilation and a mould smell from potential trapped moisture.
Safe to say the carpet clean went well and the results look brilliant. Carpet and upholstery cleaning is not rocket science! The key to it is knowing your chemicals and knowing your fabrics. It’s a shame we don’t have more pictures of this particular job. This was a mixed fibre sofa with high content of Cotton. We used a relatively PH neutral chemical, slightly alkaline, as the prey spray. We sprayed this all over the sofa and slowly agitated/ brushed the Pre-spray into the fibres and left for Approximately 10 minutes of dwell time to allow a Chemical reaction to take place and start breaking down the dirt! What you can see in the header video is the rinsing with an acidic rinse. Made a huge difference to the sofa and the customer was very happy with her upholstery. The stain there in the middle did come out in the end with a mild solvent to break down the plastic nature of the stain.
I will be posting more regularly here on various carpet and upholstery cleaning work we undertake with the hope of helping you, whoever you are make a more informed decision whether you are a customer or someone within the industry. Happy carpet and upholstery cleaning 🙂 |
